Noah had stinky feet today! When I picked him up from school he was sleeping with his socks and shoes on, wrapped up in a blanket... the a/c isn't working properly, so it was about 78 degrees in there. When we got home, I took off his socks and shoes and phew!
Noah had a great day with Nonna today... then he pooped all over the floor! My mom said he tried to take 2 steps today after he pulled himself up on the ottoman. :)
Noah is changing so quickly and doing so many new things every day. He is becoming more and more independent by the minute. He holds his own bottle (when he wants to)...he was drinking his bottle in the car today while I was driving home from Target and then at bedtime he took the bottle from me and fed it to himself. He's crawling all over the house following us wherever we go (or chasing one of the cats). We have a big pumpkin in the living room and Noah knocks it over and rolls it around... that thing is heavy! His two bottom teeth are getting taller and are more noticeable now. It's just so amazing how quickly everything is happening now!
Noah spent the day with Nonna playing then we went to Teresa and Nick's to play. He tried to hang with the older boys (2-4 year olds), but they were busy with each other. He did get to see Anne Marie who is just a little older than him... I thought they would play well together, but Noah just kept trying to steal her water bottle. Of course I forgot my camera!
When I went to pick Noah up from school today he was sitting on the floor with a little girl. They both tried to pick up the same book... she was older and stronger, so she took it from him. He kept reaching for it and she started hitting him on the head with it... I was cracking up as I peeked in through the door.
I had parent teacher conferences tonight, but Noah was a trooper and waited for me to come home and put him to sleep. :) Luckily he still had his grandparents visiting to keep him happy.
Boy was Noah tires today! He took a 30 minute nap around 5pm, woke up, ate, took a bath, and was ready to go back to bed... there was no playing in between like usual.
Noah went to visit his first pumpkin market. He was kind of hungry which made him fussy. I hope we can go back next weekend and he'll be in a better mood. He had a very long day with running errands, going to a birthday party, and visiting Aunt Jessica and Uncle Russ.
Noah woke up early this morning (5am instead of 5:45 or 6)... he had a very full diaper! I fed him and tried to put him in his crib with the mobile, but he wasn't having it. I brought him to Jeff in bed so I could get some work done and he fell asleep in our bed... he looks like such a big boy in the big bed.
Noah was enjoying a Halloween book when I picked him up from school... I was so glad they are reading to them now. Jeff said he was chasing Nikki around the kitchen this morning... he tried going after Jasper when he was eating yesterday and Jasper hissed at him. Nikki will be a better playmate if she keeps coming out.
It was nice to come home today and have Noah immediately crawl towards me and try to climb up my leg... it warmed my heart. He's becoming so independent and making decisions... wish he would decide the receiver and all the wires that go with it are not so interesting - he seems to choose those over his toys!
Noah had a tummy ache last night and he woke up around 10:30... I let him try to put himself back to sleep, but it wasn't working... when I went in his room, I found out why... he was standing up holding on to the side of his crib!!! We went to the grocery store today and used the cart cover for the first time (meaning Noah sat in the cart for the first time)... I think he liked seeing everything from a different perspective. Jeff also installed the new car seat and Noah tried it out... it's very padded with plush material which will be great for winter and will suck for summer. Michele and Evan came for a visit too and watched Noah blow food all over his face and up his nose! All in all, it was a great day (other than the Saints sucking)!
Noah had a fun filled day today. He went to Nonna's this morning and got to play with Cyrus and visit with Nonna and Aunt Jessica too. I got to run some errands! I bought Noah a new convertible car seat... it looks huge, but comfy for Noah. He is crawling, but I don't think he realizes he can go anywhere now. He only goes short distances to get an item of interest or to be near a certain person. I am glad he's starting off slow because we need to baby-proof the house! I forgot to mention Noah also held his own bottle and fed himself for the first time today. One of his friends at school was propped up on a boppy pillow feeding himself on Friday... I tried it with Noah and it worked!
Ok, Noah is officially crawling! I don't think he's figured out how far he can travel yet, but he has begun to slowly crawl just a short distance to get something he wants. We also discovered he looks very cute in a box!
When I went in Noah's room this morning, he was sitting up in his bed! It's the first time I've seen him sit up on his own (Jeff said he's seen him do it before). Today he was rolling and scooting all over and also sitting up... it's so amazing to see him grow and change so quickly! He is so close to really crawling. I placed some toys around him this afternoon and he crawled just a little to reach his Humpty Dumpty. Today was also his first flu shot. Nonna took him... she said he didn't even flinch when the nurse gave him the shot!
Noah and I went to visit Mt. Carmel today. He was so tired, he fell asleep in my arms. Just when I think he's getting so big, he does something so innocent and sweet!
(I promise Jeff was having a good time despite his unusual facial expression in this picture!) Noah's first trip to the French Quarter. We went to eat breakfast with Noah's Godfather Alan and his girlfriend Wendy. Croissant D'Or is so yummy!
Noah is the best baby! I had to get something from his room after he was asleep; it woke him up and he looked at me. I gave him some kisses and hugs and he grabbed my hand and stroked my arm. When I left the room he went back to sleep. I was glad for the opportunity to tell him goodnight since I had just gotten home from class.
Noah was so tired when I picked him up from school. He was the fussiest he's ever been...he did not want me to leave his side, when I did, he screamed and turned bright red. This is a side of him I've never seen before...poor guy. I guess he was just so excited from the day... they took his class out on a stroll since the weather was so nice. They said he REALLY enjoyed it.
Noah provided background music to the Saints game!
Noah's diaper was so full this morning, I think we could have used it to play baseball! We went to see Sun-Day, Freedom and Jamisen this morning... I asked Freedom if she thought Noah was getting a tooth and she noticed it had already come through! I can't see it very well, but I can feel that is has broken through the surface.
Noah had fun being passed around at the Baby Shower
He's been insisting on holding his own spoon lately... now he just needs to learn how to hold it so that the food goes in his mouth instead of all over the floor and chair!
Chillin in the chair... does he look full or what!
I hung out with Noah for a bit at the nursery today... I now understand why they are all swapping colds. I watched them switch slobbery toys back and forth... yuck!
Noah woke up at 5am. I was still tired from the weekend, so I fed him and brought him to lay in bed with us. We all fell asleep together for a little while. :)
We had a long day today. Noah woke up at 5am... I was too tired to start my day, so I fed him and he came to lay down with me in my bed. Luckily he fell back asleep with me. We slept until 7:30am until Jeff called and woke us up. We had breakfast with Nanna and Pops and Noah took another good nap on our bed. I think he was extra tired from all the fun last night and the medicine he's been taking. We put him in the car in his pj's and headed to Target, then to church, then to Lakeview Fest. He was awake in Target and the whole time in church... he behaved quite well! He slept the whole time through the fair... we were afraid he was overheated,so we came home. He's had a great afternoon playing on the new floormat.
We have over exhausted the nasal aspirator and now it has split open at the seams! HELP!
Tonight was Papa's first time babysitting at night. He had to feed Noah his oatmeal and sweet potatoes and put him to bed. He went to bed a little later than usual, but he slept great! I think they both had fun... Jeff and I sure did... we got to go to Austin and Anitha's wedding.
Noah stayed home with Dad today. They went to see the doctor (an associate of our normal doctor). She prescribed him 2 medications to take - an antibiotic and an anti-histamine. I am scared to give them to him! I don't think his regular doctor would have prescribed anything at all.
Noah has another cold :( . He coughed and coughed throughout the night last night. He seems to be feeling ok, but every cough makes Jeff and I want to cry. He is mostly congested in his chest, so there is not much we can do. I hope he has gotten most of it out so he can get a good night's rest and feel better in the morning.
This is how Jeff found Noah after his morning nap... apparently he was trying to undress himself!
We had such a great time at Nonna's birthday BBQ today. Noah enjoyed all the attention and he certainly enjoyed playing with Cyrus! For Nonna's birthday, we let her feed Noah "real food" for the first time. He loved his sweet potatoes!
Noah went to the doctor today. He gained 10 oz and grew an inch taller! He didn't cry for either of his 2 shots- he took the first one like a man and didn't even flutter... he wined for a sec for the second one, but that was it. He's such a big boy!
Noah waiting for the big game to start... well, actually waiting for his bath... he was too tired to make it to kick off! He wasn't so happy at this moment, but I thought he looked cute lounging on the couch.
When I came to pick up Noah today he was "reading" his book that stays in his crib. It was the cutest thing to see! It's a book with some words about family members and pictures are slipped into the provided space. He really looked like he was looking at the pictures and turning the pages.
Noah started in his new room today. He took 2 great naps. I think his day will be much more relaxing and enjoyable with only 4 other babies in the room (to 2 adults). By the time I got home from class tonight he was already sleeping :( . I hate Tuesdays now because I leave for work in the morning and don't get to spend time with him (awake) until the next day.
Daddy came home today! We went to play and visit with the Graff's this morning. Then we went to Papa's for a BBQ. I think Noah had fun with his big friend Dominic and his big cousin Cyrus.
Nosh is becoming quite the independent little man! He pulled his monitor down this morning and was using it as a mictophone. When I was feeding him, he was holding his own bottle... for a few minutes. He held his afernoon bottle for a little while too. Yeah!
Noah took a poop while eating his oatmeal at dinertime... I didn't think it was a big deal until I noticed it oozing out from underneath him. That was a fun mess to clean - we went straight into the bath.
Noah was promoted at school! He will be in the crawler room beginning next week. He is not crawling yet, but they said he will be soon. He will only have 4 other babies in his room now with 2 adults. We are so excited!
Noah went back to the germ pit today. He had a great day playing with all the slobbery toys and his coughing and sneezing friends at St.Mucus Nursery. But seriously, he had fun being back with the other babies and they said he had a great day. For the first time he took 2 good naps! One was 2 hours long... hopefully this means he is comfortable and acclimated enough to the room to rest soundly from now on. He's still a little congested today, but he has not been coughing as much. :)
Wow... I can't believe he is already 6 months! He had a fun day... he hung out with Dad in the morning, Papa for a few hours in the morning, and Dad again in the afternoon. I got to spend a little time with him before work and a little more time between work and school playing with him (and feeding him- of course). Anyway he seemed really happy today and seems to be feeling better.
