Someone bit Noah at school today... this time his skin was broken through his clothes. He seemed to not be bothered by it, so that is good. He really enjoyed his green beans for dinner. He said ahhh almost every time he opened him mouth and num num num almost every time he chewed... so cute!
Cyrus tried to get Noah to play with him in the tunnel today, but Noah was a little apprehensive... he did take a peek though. He loved his Aunt Jessica's old rocking chair... he fit in it just right.
Noah fed himself some lunch... if you look close enough, you will notice he he missed his mouth.
Noah ate his first avocado today. I spoon fed him the first half and let him try to feed himself the second half... needless to say, the clothes are in the wash now.
He also successfully used the sippie cup again... we tried it a while ago and he used it at first, then started to refuse it.
Finally an afternoon with nice weather! After school I took Noah on a wagon ride to the park down the street. Daddy met us there so we could play on the play equipment. Noah went down the slide a few times (once on my lap).
Noah was very talkative today after school. He told me bye-bye and waved to me several times before I left for class tonight. His Nonna fed him "real dinner" for the first time. He got to eat the croc pot chicken and rice daddy made yesterday. He said num num the whole time he was eating according to Nonna.
Noah was cracking up tonight when I was tickling him. I love the sound of his little laugh... he is starting to look like such a big boy and develop a little personality like one too!
Noah was fussy this afternoon because he only took one short nap at school. His bedtime routine has changed a little lately. He was obviously tired, so I thought he would fall asleep early... instead he becomes very talkative after his night night bottle and I have been laying him down in his crib and turning the mobile on. He talks to himself for a little while and then falls asleep.
Finally the coughing is getting better. I'm sure Noah will really enjoy going back to school tomorrow! He will miss his Nonna for sure though... he's used to seeing her almost every day. She came over this morning so that mommy could take daddy to the er to get some medicine for his aching ear infection... thanks Nonna!
Noah went to see Sami's mom (Dr. Jane - allergist/ immunologist) today. She switched out his neutralizer medicines for inhalers...hope it will stop the coughing!
I was not feeling well today and I had to stay home and stay away from Noah... it was so very hard. Nonna hung out with him and he didn't mind me keeping my distance for most of the morning.
Noah wasn't feeling well today... he a runny nose and he's been coughing. We feel like the little guy has had a cold for like 3 months now! Maybe it's all the kleenex he keeps trying to eat and all the bath water he keeps trying to drink.
When I picked Noah up from school today they told me he was saying his name No-ah. Then when he was playing with Papa after school he was imitating Papa's monkey noises.
I tried to take a picture of Noah in the car today, but the phone wouldn't cooperate... he looked like a big boy reading his book on the way home from school. He must think he's a big boy because at dinner he stole the spoon and decided he was going to feed himself... since most of the food was ending up other places besides his mouth he decided to forget the spoon and went straight to licking the bowl... whatever works. He also had his first satsuma (in one of those mesh bag feeders).
Jeff and I both agree... we think Noah is using mama and dada with meaning now. He is also starting to say bye bye more. A totally new thing he did yesterday was cry when Jeff dropped him off at school... he loves school, but for the first time he noticed Jeff was leaving. He usually is just so excited that he forgets about us and runs off to play.
Noah tried to stand on his own today... unfortunately he fell forward within fractions of a second. It's still exciting though, because he is gaining confidence to try it.
Some new things Noah did today: he went outside all by himself he ate a petit fore - correction... a morsel of a petit fore Ok, now I will explain... Cyrus was playing outside so he zipped Noah's jacket up and put on his hood... then he left him. So Noah decided to go outside by himself since he was right next to the open door... it was only for a second before we went to get him... he was still on the outside rug. And the petit fore was my mom's doing.
Jeff and I went to dinner with friends tonight... I realized it was only the third time Jeff and I let someone baby sit at night so that we could get out. We both agreed we need to do it more often even though we missed the little guy... he was sleeping the majority of the time we were gone anyway (we left about 30 minutes before his bed time). And he was in good hands with his Nananne and Nonna.
Oh Christmas tree O Christmas tree, we are so sad to take you down.
Jeff stayed home this morning and then I came home at 11:30am... we both agreed it would be awesome if we could do that every day! Noah was going to have his first day back at school, but he woke up with a VERY runny nose and I didn't think it would be fair to send him back that way after almost2 months of staying home. We did go visit school to make sure he had everything he needed there... he was excited to play with the other babies and the toys.
I tried to feed Noah some mashed up broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots Saturday and he looked like he was choking and refused to eat it after a few bites. I smashed it all with a fork until it was in the tiniest pieces possible without being pureed... I don't understand how he seemed to be choking on it. Then tonight I tried to offer him baby food carrots that were in small pieces, but very soft... he appeared to be gagging on these also. He eats the puffs, so I don;t understand why he cannot eat the soft foods when they are not pureed. I think I will purchase a food mill so that I can make him some other things besides the baby food available in the store.
It looked like Noah's top 2 teeth were coming through a couple of days ago, but I was able to feel the one on the right finally today... guess they'll both be visible soon!
Noah is leaning how to clap and give high 5's... he is so proud of himself!
Can't smile... busy getting puffs. (breakfast at Croissant D'Or... yummy!!!)
I still can't believe Jasper is allowing him to get so close!
not about Noah, but I had to post this Mom finally got to go to a Saints game thanks to my awesome cousin David!
