Lilypie Third Birthday tickers

Saturday December 31

Noah and Daddy got haircuts this morning.

Noah was so excited to hold Elle. He even tried to give her sweet kisses when she started to cry. He is such a great big brother!

Friday December 30

Noah loves his sushi.

Elle's many sleeping positions... oops, the flash finally woke her up!

Thursday December 29

Thanks Sun-Day for the cool Sherlock Holmes hat... you know I love hats!

Tuesday December 27

Elle took her first real bath tonight. She seemed confused by the tub part and didn't like her hair being washed. She was shivering when we dried her off and it took her a while to warm back up. Now her new baby smell is gone and she smells like Aveno soap; at least her hair looks really cute again.
Oh and she also got poked in the head by Noah's toothbrush... I guess he is helping to make her strong and resilient!

Monday December 26

Merry Christmas!

Nanna and Pops came over to open presents in the morning.
Elle slept through present opening again.

Thanks for the super hats Danielle!

Noah decided to put himself in the cage with the dog.

Night Night!

Christmas Eve 2011

Noah has never really opened presents before, but he got it right away and tore all his presents open... even the ones with lots of tape.

Elle spent her Christmas Eve sleeping.

Apparently Noah can see out of his nose.

Noah had so much fun playing with Cyrus and Jamisen. We were at Nonna's until about 10:30; he was so tired that he passed out in the car a few blocks away.

Friday December 23

We celebrated Jessica's birthday tonight at Shogun. Noah was not feeling well, so he stayed home with Nonna.

Thursday December 22

Noah had lots of fun today playing with Jamisen when he got home from school.

Wednesday December 21

We took Elle to the dr. today to be weighed. I was concerned that she was loosing weight since she sleeps a lot and doesn't stay awake to eat much - despite our efforts to undress her, rub her shoulders, and all the other tricks they tell you to try. Anyway, she actually ate well this morning before being weighed. She weighed 7lbs. 1.5 oz. The dr. said she should be gaining more than she has... at least she doesn't weigh less than our visit last week (6lbs. 14oz.). Hopefully she will start eating more... she is doing good so far today!

Sunday December 18

We all took a ride to Palmer Park today to pick up some art for Elle's room. We stayed in the car while Daddy went to pick it up. Noah enjoys riding in the back with his baby.

Saturday December 17

I didn't feel well last night, so Elle and I napped while Jeff and Noah went to Nonna's to visit and play with Cyrus again.

Friday December 16

We went to walk around the mall this morning. Elle stayed covered and snug in her car seat and stroller with the canopies pulled. We went to Nonna's house for dinner and to decorate the Christmas tree. Noah had so much fun playing with Cyrus and Elle continued getting her beauty rest.

Wednesday December 14

Elle was so tired all day; we had to give her a bath to wake her up so she would eat.

(ah...thank God it's over!)

First bath... Elle enjoyed hers about as much as Noah enjoyed his first bath!

Tuesday December 13

Noah went to get a stool so he could see inside his sister's crib.

Elle did not want to sleep her first night at home...she woke up every hour and wanted to eat!!!

Monday December 12: First Day Home

first time in her crib

all snuggled up in her car seat on the way home
(It was cold when we brought Noah home too, but we didn't have this awesome head/ body positioner to put in the car seat for Noah - thanks Teresa!)

storytime

Sunday December 11

Random thoughts from today:
We tried to get lots of sleep during our last day in the hospital. The hot water went out in our section of the hospital and I had to go to this deserted area to take a shower. Nonna came to sit with Elle while Jeff went home to re-wash all her clothes since she had a reaction to the dryer sheets we used. Elle actually picked up her head when she was laying on my chest; Jeff missed it, but Nonna got to witness it.
