Lilypie Third Birthday tickers

Wednesday October 31

When I picked Noah up from school today he was playing outside, climbing up the slide and jumping off the top of the platform until... he twisted or sprained his ankle (not sure which).  He said he was hurt and needed to go to the hospital; everyone got a kick out of that!  He was limping, so we put ice on it for a while and waited for Daddy and Sami to meet us to get into the car (I picked up Elle first, so I couldn't carry both of them).  When Jeff arrived Noah was excited and tried running to him, but quickly realized he couldn't; he was a big boy about the incident and didn't cry or fuss.  So... we took the stroller out trick or treating instead of walking.  We actually went into the lanes this year instead of staying on my mom's cul-de-sac... it was fun because we encountered more people, but the mosquitos were bad and poor Elle got bitten up on her face and hands since those were the only places exposed.

Since Noah's teachers know we don't usually give him sweets or candy, they bought him some glow in the dark glasses instead of candy... he loved them.

Trick or Treat at Mount Carmel:
I was so excited to be able to go for a little while since I couldn't go at all last year.

Tuesday October 30`

Elle is really becoming silly.  She was offering me cheerios, but taking them away when I tried to eat them.  Then

Monday October 29

Elle loves to sit on this hippo backwards in the storage section... if I put the actual seat down she gets upset.

Sunday October 21

 Elle's first streetcar ride

Enjoying some beignets with Nanna and Pops
Elle got a little taste too
Noah wouldn't get on the mini horse, but Elle was brave

 pickin' out a pumpkin...
we had to nudge him towards the smaller ones since we we riding the streetcar back home

Saturday October 20 - a very busy day!

We started off with the ALA walk since Nonna's back working for them.

Can you tell it was nap time?
After a good nap, we headed to Boo at the Zoo
and of course rushed to get in line to ride the ghost train first... Noah was actually scared this year - he was covering his eyes when the zombies jumped out

Elle was excited about the pumpkin decorating... so many things to put into her mouth!

The games were much more organized than last year... and Noah had a better understanding of how to play them.

Elle was just an observer this year.
What - candy on a bracelet... get out!

This was Noah's favorite game last year... trash!
He did awesome trick-or-treating.  He went up to eat "house", knocked, said trick-or-treat give me something to eat, eagerly got his candy, then said thank you.
