Lilypie Third Birthday tickers

Wednesday June 30

We were going to go swimming again today, but we got rained out... it has been raining almost non-stop for the past 2 days (at least it has been mostly light rain). So I think I've mentioned Noah's napping strikes before... today he took 3 short naps (about an hour) and decided to go to sleep for the night around 5:30... he was so tired since he didn't get his long (about 3 hours) nap.
I know I keep writing about this, but I cannot believe how much Noah has been sucking his thumb! I realized he hasn't been making raspberries anymore (which he was doing non-stop about 2 weeks ago) probably because he always has his thumb in his mouth! He has been smacking his lips a lot too when he takes a break during eating... it makes me smile every time.

Tuesday June 29

Mr. Cool

I stayed home with Noah today. He's been enjoying playing peek-a-boo. I make sure to play with him whenever I get him dressed so he won't get upset when I pull the clothes over his head.

Jeff was playing the piano with Noah tonight (watch you tube video). After that Noah was beating me in the chest during his bedtime bottle... maybe he was trying to get me to make music like the piano. Before that he was exploring Jeff's face... I think he liked his beard. When he was done exploring Jeff's face, he punched him in the eye! He was so funny tonight - punching and kicking like crazy... I hope he moves around like this next time we go swimming!

Monday June 28

Noah's been laughing a lot more lately. He's also been enjoying playing peek-a-boo.

Sunday June 27

Krissy's so funny!

Wait... this is not my family...?

Saturday June 26

Noah has been rubbing his eyes when he is tired and ... I forgot what I was going to write... ?

Friday June 25

Such a great day! Noah and I had lots of fun playing this morning. After a nap he played by himself for quite a while while I wrapped presents for Krissy's baby shower tomorrow and looked for the bjorn carrier (which I still haven't found). He has been sucking his thumb like crazy!!! He even spits out the pacifier so he can suck his thumb!

Noah went swimming for the first time today! I'm not exactly sure how he felt about it... he first seemed to not even notice, then he got fussy (but I think because it was time to eat). Anyway, he now has swim diapers, a suit, a swim shirt, and sunscreen, so he can go swimming more often.

Thursday June 24

Noah and I went to the Sculpture Garden with camp (I had someone sub for me and I stayed home most of the day with the little guy). Noah got hot and fell asleep which of course made me nervous so I put him back in the car and drove around with the a/c on until everyone was ready to leave.
He woke up the second we got home. He was on a napping strike today taking only short naps until he passed out for 2 and a half hours this evening. He was famished when he awoke and sucked down a bottle like it was nothing. He was only awake for an hour before going back to bed. Hopefully he will be back on track tomorrow.

Wednesday June 23

Noah had quite a day! He stayed with Nonna at her house while we went on an adventure with the camp kids (we rode the red streetcar downtown, ate lunch down there, then rode the green streetcar to go swimming). Jessica was getting the hand controls installed on her new car today so she and Cyrus were hanging out at Nonna's house too. Noah was very tired when I picked him up, but I'm sure he had lots of fun! He went to bed early tonight and fell asleep sucking his thumb again!
This was taken when he got out of the bath.

Tuesday June 22

Noah was whining in his sleep this morning. When we went in to check on him he had his eyes closed and his thumb in his mouth with his four other fingers sticking straight out... so cute. Then he fell asleep for a nap and when I checked in on him he was sucking his thumb again... this time with his hand in a fist. He's still been playing in his seat when we eat dinner.
(check out Hungry Noah video on his you tube site)

I think Jasper's been feeling a little left out! He tried to wear my shoes.

Monday June 21

Noah had lots of fun with Nonna this morning... so much fun that he was pooped out this afternoon. He made another new cute noise today... it's hard to describe. His favorite sound to make currently is mmmmmmmmm. He's still like a ventriloquist, making all these cute noises with his mouth shut!

Sunday June 20

Noah doesn't usually tolerate his bebe pod seat for too long... we haven't put him in it in a while. Tonight he sat in it while we ate dinner and actually played with the toy that it came with the whole time... he had lots of fun. Just as we were finishing dinner he got tired of it... perfect timing!
Many times when Noah laughs it sounds like he's coughing or fussing or screaming even. Tonight I was playing with him in the jumperoo and he laughed an ah-ha or ha-ha type of laugh.

Saturday June 19

Noah has really started to drool! He puts his hands in his mouth almost every chance he gets which causes messy drool to get everywhere! I feel like I should be washing his hands all day... is this how babies build up tolerance to germs?

Friday June 18

This kind of goes along with yesterday's post... Noah has also been trying to hold his bottle and pulling it in and out of his mouth. Tonight he actually was holding it by himself and pulled it out then put it back to his mouth held high enough to drink from it :) . Many times he gets it back in his mouth but he is not holding it up enough to drink from it.
We had a busy day today with camp. Noah stayed at Jessica's while we went Blueberry Pickin' at Blue Harvest. After that we came over to Jessica's to eat lunch with all the kids and a few parents who came along... it was very chaotic with all the parents talking and kids eating and playing! Papa Kerry watched him when we came back to go swimming.

Thursday June 17

Noah was helping me turn the pages:)

We were trying to picture Noah with my hair color.

Noah has been pulling the pacifier out of his mouth and trying to get it back in... he has succeeded a few times, but just by luck. So today Jessica said he pulled it out and almost had it back in... then he started sucking... he thought he had it in... it was so close, but just a little shy of his mouth! I was sad I missed this cute moment.

Wednesday June 16

Jessica and I were reminiscing about Cyrus when he was Noah's age. I remember Cyrus used to like to bounce when we held him up. Noah likes to stand, but he never bounces; he seems like his legs are so strong.I'm amazed at how straight Noah can hold his body.

Jeff reading with Noah.

Tuesday June 15

Good day. Noah was tired and took good long naps today.

Monday June 14

Today was our first day of camp. Jessica is supposed to watch Noah this month. She split the day today with my mom. Noah seemed to have a great time... he was very tired at the end of the day!

Sunday June 13

We went to Jimmy's birthday party at ChuckECheese today. It was loud and crazy, but fun... Jeff and I played skeeball and basketball... Noah looked around for about 15 minutes before conking out! I was so glad he was tired... he's getting so big and heavy... it's hard to hold him for too long.

Saturday June 12

Today we had a BBQ at my dad's to celebrate Father's Day with him (he's busy on the actual day). Cyrus is always excited to play with Noah.

Friday June 11

Noah looks so tall lately... well, I think he is pretty tall! He's been laughing lately and it is the cutest sound ever every time I hear it! He's also been playing in the jumperoo a lot which he finds exciting as long as we sit by him and cheer him on. We really want to get a walker for him.

Thursday June 10

Noah has been coming with us to set up for camp... I'm sure he's pretty bored since we are not giving him our undivided attention when we're there. Today we put him in the doorway jumper for the first time. He seemed to like it at first... he noticed he could turn around and watched us as we walked around. But he didn't stay amused for very long... once again, because we weren't interacting with him. It's hard to get things done now a days with Noah to entertain! He's overdue for a nap right now and fighting it so I put him in the swing and I'm fighting to ignore him... he's so cute it's hard!

Wednesday June 9

Noah had a long day today... he was so tired that we couldn't keep him awake long enough to finish his dinner! He's been spending lots of time in his jumparoo and loving it.

Tuesday June 8

Noah was cracking up laughing today when he was playing with his Daddy. It was the greatest sound I've ever heard. Jeff was making him dance and singing to him. Noah was having so much fun!

Monday June 7

Noah woke up at 2am last night and wanted to be held. He would fall asleep after we changed his diaper then wake up the second we put him in his crib. I went ahead and fed him again at 3am, but he didn't fall back asleep until almost 4am! Right now he is playing in the jumperoo and fussing at me because I am not giving him my undivided attention. I'm gonna go play with him cause it sounds like he's saying mama when he is fussing and it's too cute to ignore!

Check out the you tube video of Noah in the jumperoo from this evening.

Sunday June 6

We went to a BBQ today at Teresa and Nick's house. It was Noah's first BBQ (of course I forgot to take a picture). Anyway, he was a good boy... he let us enjoy eating while he took a little nap. Well, he wasn't really napping, but he was laying down quietly in Dominic's room... he was mostly rubbing his eyes. That's one of his new things... he rubs his eyes now when he's tired... so cute!

Saturday June 5

Today was Noah's baptism. It was really nice and we got together at my mom's afterward. Noah did great! Later that afternoon we went to a reunion for the ballet company Jessica and I used to dance with when we were younger. Noah and Cyrus came along too. It was a really long day Noah and for me too! We're both tired!

Friday June 4

Michele came to meet Noah this morning... of course I forgot to take a picture of her with him!

Noah got 2 more shots at the doctor's office today... he's so aware now that it took him a while to get over it. When he got his earlier shots he cried then calmed down immediately, but this time it took him several minutes even though I started giving him a bottle immediately after. He would drink a little then remember he was in pain and cry... it was so sad :( . He was tired afterward and he took a good nap at Nananne's house (he was making cute little noises in his sleep).

Oh yeah, our big boy is 25" tall and weighs 14 lbs 14 oz!

Thursday June 3

We were sad to leave all the grandparents in Shreveport, but happy to be going home. Noah did great on the ride up... he slept most of the way and we only had to stop once to feed him. The ride home was a different story... it wasn't bad, but it took us 7 hours to get home! He was awake almost the whole time. Despite being tired and hungry, he didn't want to sleep or eat. When I tried to feed him he wanted to talk to me... I do understand; it must be boring to be stuck in a car seat with the same view for that long! He was making raspberries at me in the back seat on and off from Baton Rouge to Kenner. He finally decided to eat when we got home, and boy was he hungry. He ate at 5pm and then again at 6:30 before falling asleep at 7.

Happy Birthday Nana Banana!!!

Wednesday June 2

We had dinner with all the grandparents and great grandparents. Jeff and I cooked our yummy meaty manicotti and we got a cookie cake to celebrate Claudia's birthday (which is tomorrow).

Happy Birthday Aunt Ginger!

4 generations

Tuesday June 1

We went out to Aunt Susie and Uncle Jim's house to eat lunch.
Happy Birthday Susie!

Noah had a great time reading with Nana.

Noah's first shower

So what happened... Noah had a blowout all over himself and Jeff. The easiest way to clean it was to just get in the shower... it was that bad!!!

Monday May 31

Check out the you tube video of Noah and Maggie from today.

Sunday May 30

We left this morning right after Noah woke up and ate. Our drive to Shreveport went well; we had to stop once for Noah to eat and to change his diaper. All the great grandparents couldn't wait to meet him as soon as we arrived. We went to Gabe and Allison's house for dinner; James and Daniele came too so we got to meet Maggie (she's 4 days older than Noah). She's a very dainty petite little lady; for once Noah was bigger than one of his peers... he's been growing rapidly in the past few weeks!

MeeMaw's words of wisdom were a lot to ponder.

Saturday May 29

We were busy today packing and getting ready for our Shreveport trip... we're trying to get everything ready to go so we can grab it all and put it in the car quickly in the morning.

Friday May 28

Today was my last day of work. Noah had time with Daddy in the morning, then he went over to Nonna's to hang out with Aunt Jessica and Cyrus until Nonna came home and took over. He had a busy but fun day; I fell asleep with him cause I was so tired from cleaning and moving my classroom!

Thursday May 27

I closed my eyes and Noah all of a sudden got so solid and strong... I have been calling him a chunky monkey! He is so solid when we help him stand. Sometimes it's almost as if he could stand on his own... except he would fall over because he cannot balance himself :) .

Wednesday May 26

Noah's current schedule: wake up around 5am (sometimes 4:30)
eat at 5am, 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, and 8pm (3 hour intervals)
sleep after being awake for 2 hours (give or take 30 minutes)
go to bed between 8pm and 9pm

Tuesday May 25

Monday May 24

I wish I could pinpoint the exact day Noah started really looking at us and smiling. He does it all the time now. He tries to repeat the sounds and faces we make too. One thing he doesn't do anymore is wiggle his ears when he eats; he would do that and raise his eyebrows. He still smiles in between sips though :) .
