Lilypie Third Birthday tickers

Friday December 31 - Happy New Year!

stacking toy from Nonna

His new sippie cup (he will drink out of it sometimes, but he is still not sure about it.

Noah is quite the contortionist when it's feedin' time.

Thursday December 30

I bought a new sippy cup today and Noah used it for a little while (I think only because he was very hungry/ thirsty at the time). Anyway, it was exciting... I tried the training sippy cup top on his old bottles last week and he wouldn't drink from that one.

Wednesday December 29

Noah's top 2 are coming through (teeth that is is)!

Tuesday December 28

This video is actually from yesterday. Noah just loves this train! He is also starting to figure out another one of his new toys... he has been pulling the stars on and off the stacker from Nonna.
We went to the doctor today to finally get Noah's 9 month shots. I was curious to learn his weight (since he seems to get heavier every day!)... he is a few ounces short of 22 pounds.

chillin on the bench with one sock

Noah loves his present from Nanna ans Pops... he knew what to do with it right away and has no problems keeping his balance!

He is also learning how to be a chef.

Sunday December 26

Noah got to play with many of his new toys today. He is walking behind his new train!!! He is very proud of himself as he cruises along across the floor (of course it is the cutest thing ever... and a little scary because he is so good at it!).

Saturday December 25

Where's Waldo?

Merry Christmas to all!

Friday December 24

Thursday December 23

It's so nice being off of work... we all get to spend quality time together in the mornings. This morning we all played in Noah's room for a while... he is so silly in this 9th month! Today Noah and I attempted to take care of some last minute shopping, but the stores were sold out of many of the items we were searching for. Nanna and Pops came in town and some friends came over for dinner. Noah had fun playing with everyone (especially Dominic).

Wednesday December 22

Happy Birthday Aunt Jessica!

Noah took an early bath which I think confused him because he fell asleep right after (as he usually does). He slept for about an hour (or most likely longer - I have no concept of time) during our dinner at Shogun. He awoke a little confused, but was happy to see his family and the crazy Hibachi chef creating lots of interesting smoke on the grill. Afterward at Nonna's house, he helped himself to some birthday cake crubs he scrounged off the table.

Tuesday December 21

Noah spent the morning with Dad, then went to Nonna's ans got to play with Cyrus and Aunt Jessica. It was my last day of work! I was excited to make it home to see Noah before bedtime.

Monday December 20

Nobody can take my milk!

Sunday December 19

Noah crawled into the door frame today... we were all playing in his room and he was looking at us and crawling away and... boom! He didn't cry though.. mostly because Jeff started cracking up laughing which I think threw him off. I was thinking today... I think uh-oh is his first word with meaning... I most likely mentioned this before, but I want to have a record of it... mamma was his first word without meaning (just babble when he was hungry). An another think I don't want to forget (besides his wonderful laugh which we have yet to get on video) is how he climbs all over me when I am laying down on my side... Jeff calls me Mount Mom-more.

Saturday December 18

We had a busy day... we went Christmas shopping, then to the Art Market at Palmer Park (which was awesome), then to Nonna's to visit. Noah slept for most of the shopping; he woke up when we got to KMart... he was enthralled with all the toys! He loved his stroll around the market after that. At Nonna's he was walking behind the ride on/ push Tow Mater toy and getting into EVERYTHING! He is very curious. He has been saying "uh-oh" a lot lately... he has also started throwing his bottle on the floor (which is usually followed by "uh-oh" also).

Friday December 17

Noah went to his first Christmas party today... he went with Jeff to his work party (it was during the day). We got to visit with Jessica, Cyrus, and Papa too after dinner.

Thursday December 16

Noah went back to the doctor today. He had 3 vials of blood drawn for a CBC and allergy tests... three nurses held him down while they took his blood. He calmed down quickly after they finished and I picked him up (right away)... little guy was quite a trooper.

Wednesday December 15

Since Noah has been about 5 or 6 months his little personality has really come out. We cannot believe how lucky we are to have such a wonderful little person in our lives! He is very determined... he loves to pretend to drink bath water.

Tuesday December 14

Noah is always trying to chase the cats. Jasper will let him pet him for a second, but I don't think Nikki has ever let him get within reaching distance... she will make herself scarce when he starts to walk and gets faster!

Monday December 13

When I was leaving for work this morning Noah waved bye bye to me... of course he was really waving to himself and his hand was down by his leg, but still he was waving bye bye to me! When Jeff left, he squeezed his hand waving bye bye since Jeff was holding his hand... awe... so sweet.

Sunday December 12

to see it in HD, you have to choose 1080p (bottom right of video screen)

Saturday December11

Ok, Noah is definitely using the word uh-oh with correct meaning... he uses it whenever he drops something... so cute!

Friday December 10

Noah went on his first outdoor wagon ride today. We thought he was going to be super excited, but instead he seemed sort of confused... either way, he definitely enjoyed it!

Thursday December 9

Little Noah needs some chap stick or something... little guy has chapped skin and lips from the dry cold weather and his runny nose.

Wednesday December 8

Noah was a little fussy today... I don't think he feels very well. He is still congested with a rattling cough. He had a great time in his bath tonight; he was playing with his Old McDonald's bath book.

Tuesday December 7

Noah went for his 9 month check up today, but he just happened to be sick so no shots. He did get a breathing treatment which he was not happy about!

Monday December 6

Noah has been climbing into his red wagon all by himself. He just likes to sit in there and play. He has a hard time getting out on his own, but he tries... he ends up sort of falling out.

Sunday December 5

Noah played with his ducks and cup in his bathtub today (with no water) while I was showering... he loved it! He has also learned how to get the lid off his snacks... I think he discovered it by accident while trying to just gum the container, but he keeps doing it.

Saturday, December 4

Noah got inside his red wagon all by himself today! And then a few hours later he was playing with his empty huggies box and he flipped over it crash landing on his head... I just made it to him a fraction of a second too late to catch him before he hit the floor :(

Friday December 3

Noah went back to school today. Jeff said he was so excited when they arrived. He will have to get accustomed to school again... he only slept for 30 minutes all day! He still normally takes a 2 1/2 nap every day and sometimes 2 naps. Anyway, today was not a good day to fore-go napping since we had plans to get together with family tonight... he did take a short nap before we left. I was shocked that he managed to hang at my mom's until about 8:30pm... he fell asleep about 8:50pm... this is the latest he has gone to bed for about 5 months!
Teresa was asking about Noah's mobility... he is cruising with the help of the furniture still.

Thursday December 2

Today my mom wheeled Noah around in his red wagon and she said he was squealing with excitement. When I got home I decided to put him in it and take him around... I wish our neighborhood had sidewalks so that I could take him down the street. Anyway, we ended up in his room and I unbuckled him. He was trying so hard to get out on his own. He fell out at first, but I put him back in and helped him lift his foot over the edge to get out. He proceeded to play with the door and tried getting in and out. It is so amazing to watch him figure things out!

Wednesday December 1

When I got home from work today I opened the door to see my mom and a very excited Noah in a diaper box. My mom would always tell me how much I loved playing in my Johnson & Johnson diaper boxes (which were larger). I am so glad Noah has a similar love for boxes. She had him seated in the box and she was pushing him around... he was laughing and having the best time.

Tuesday November 30

Noah had a great day with Nonna today... he hasn't gone to school in 2 1/2 weeks. Something cute today... my mom dressed him in an outfit that was way too small! I wish I would have gotten a pic... it's supposed to be a romper (long sleeve and long pants)... it was so small it looked like capris and 3/4 length sleeves. I told my mom it was too small and she said she thought it was cute with the capri bottoms (to make it even funnier, she had knee-high socks on him).
Love you mom!
Jeff got the Christmas record out today and Noah had his first experience listening to a record. Jeff said he was trying to figure out where the sound was coming from. Jeff did not notice him bobbing to the music... I have noticed him doing this lately when listening to music...so cute!

Monday November 29

It's so hard to believe Noah is almost 9 months! He has the sweetest little personality and the cutest laugh. He has become very determined (just in the past week). Today he wanted to be near me, but he did not want to sit on my lap...he would flail his body around and wiggle out of my lap if I tried (of course he did still want me to puck him up and hold him as I walked around the house doing things).

Sunday November 28

We got our Christmas tree today!

Saturday November 27

We got this great chair that attaches to the table from Suzie... it came in very handy! Noah was able to sit at the table and eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner with us all.

Noah slept for most of the car ride to Shreveport; however, he did not enjoy the ride home as much. He slept for about half the drive, then he woke up and fussed on and off for the other half... he just wanted to get out of the car! I tried to keep the sun out of his eyes as you can see above and I sat in the back seat with him to play with him. We stopped twice to let him move around a little and have some milk.
One big change I have noticed lately is Noah becoming fussy when he wants something that he knows he is not supposed to have... he thinks fussing about it will cause us to give in. This reality truly became evident today when he was so proud of himself for "stealing" my phone in the car... he was so excited that he had it and he just kept giving me a victorious smile when I let him hold it for a moment. I know I should have taken it away, but it was his most joyful moment of the car ride and I couldn't rob him of it! Besides, I don't mind him holding it, I just don;t want him to "eat" it... I was stopping him from putting it in his mouth.

Friday November 26

What a great day! The weather got significantly colder overnight, so we bundled up and headed off to the Boardwalk for some shopping and a nice stroll. Noah got a winter hat to keep his ears warm... he was bundled up with corduroy pants, a turtleneck, a thick sweater, and 2 blankets! He thoroughly enjoyed his stroller ride through the shopping area with the nice fresh air.

After that we stopped for some lunch at Cheeburger Cheeburger (Noah slept half the time, then woke up for a little food... he was laughing and smiling as Pops fed him). Next we came back to the house and he had a great time playing on the floor in the living room with all the plastic containers and tops Nanna set aside for him in a basket. We pushed our luck and ventured out again to visit some friends... Noah got tired and had enough, so he took a short nap on the way home before dinner.

Noah has been eating those little puffs as snacks... he has a hard time getting them into his mouth cause they get stuck in the palm of his hand.

He has been curling his tongue... he's sort of doing it here, but not really.

I almost forgot... we took a picture with Santa at the Bass Pro Shop... I;ll post it after I get it scanned to the computer.

Thursday November 25

Noah enjoyed his first Thanksgiving in Shreveport. He ate some baked sweet potatoes and he refused his jarred turkey with gravy (I can't blame him cause it was gross!). He had great fun with his great uncle Chris!
