Been A Long Time Coming

Well, I finally had to do it... Noah got his first taste of formula today. It was half milk and half formula... it seemed to make him very sleepy. After he drank the formula he was very alert and happy for about an hour or two and he's been sleepy ever since (well, except for waking up many times to eat).

Do whatever you need to do to keep you BOTH happy. Noah will pick up on your stress re: trying to keep up with feeding him and pumping, and it will wear everyone out. Believe me, I've been there! A wise mommy once told me: "it's not the presence of formula that's bad, it's the lack of breast milk." So true, and I wished she'd told me that earlier! Hope to see you guys soon. :)
